Bohemia Ceramic Works porcelain teacup & saucer set
Taken from Ginnis Collectors Circle & Bohemian Boutique: Bohemia Ceramic Works AG, was founded in 1921. The factory produced household, hotel, and coffee & tea sets in porcelain. The quality of its products was great enough that it was chosen as the factory to display porcelain dinnerware that Czechoslovakia displayed in their pavilion at the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. This tea cup and saucer set bear the marks that place its manufacture date between 1921 and 1945. It is white, with lavender flowers within a black band, and trimmed in gold. The saucer measures approximately 6 inches in diameter. The tea/coffee cup measures approximately 4 ½ inches from handle to end, and holds 5 ounces. The only damage appears on the upper inner edge of the cup. It looks like a discolored chip, which is photographed. No other chips, cracks, or damage appears that I could find.
