Reed & Barton silver plate 3 pc candleholder (epergne #333)
Here is a lovely piece made by Reed & Barton. Its called an epergne which is described as a table centerpiece, usually made of silver, or an ornamental centerpiece. This small candle holder can hold 3 tapers and maybe a pillar in the bowl-if other treats are not there. I used Tarn-X to remove the dark tarnish that covered this item. There seems to be sticky residue from the price tags on it and I was too scared to try to rub it off with any cleaning compounds-I dont want to damage it. This epergne stands approximately 4 7/8 inches high and measures 7 ½ inches from candle brace to candle brace. There is a little wear/scratching on the bottom and on the feet. Reed & Barton are engraved on the bottom as well as the pattern number 333. The original sticker is pretty intact reflecting the company as the worlds finest silver plated ware.
